Remembering Kathy Erwin
It was with great sadness that we learned of Kathy Erwin's passing on Saturday, April 23, 2022.
Kathy Erwin was a pivotal employee at Dixie Chopper for the last 23 years. Like her mother-in-law before her (Jan Erwin), Kathy knew Dixie Chopper mowers and part numbers inside and out. It's hard to imagine how many dealers and customers she's helped on the phone over the years.
Before she passed, the Greencastle team visited Kathy in her home to present to her a "years of service" plaque. I'll never forget the way she embraced this award and the sense of accomplishment in her eyes. She said, "I just wanted to leave behind a good legacy to the Erwin name." We all laughed knowing the Erwin name will be forever remembered as long as the company exists.
Kathy was a beacon of hope, strength, and positivity in the office. She will be greatly missed and quite frankly irreplaceable.
I have known Kathy for the 23 years she was at Dixie and will miss her dearly.
